About the temple

For centuries, human beings have faced diseases that are often difficult to diagnose and even harder to treat. The Tupyara Spiritist Temple offers a unique path to healing through spiritual operations, conducted by Espirita (spiritist) doctors who channel divine energy to treat both physical and emotional ailments.

Founded on December 8, 1943, a day dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, the Tupyara Spiritist Temple is deeply rooted in the personal journey of its founder, José Herman Hungerbühler. From a young age, Hungerbühler was drawn to spiritist phenomena, a calling that led him to establish this sacred place of spiritual care.

Guided by the principles of the Christian Spiritist Doctrine, the Temple has been offering profound spiritual support and healing to those in need for decades.
